Theology Influences

My current beliefs are heavily influenced by:

• C.S. Lewis, start with his book Mere Christianity.

• Dr. Michael Heiser’s work.

• I’m enrolled in SEU’s Ministerial Leadership program.

• I completed and recommend the free Certificate of Biblical Studies from AWKNG.

• The NET Bible Online also has 60K+ notes and commentary completely free.

What I Believe

This is the foundation of my faith and the filter through which I lead, advise, and serve other men:

It is the Apostles’ Creed with two lines adapted to clarify away what would sound like Catholic language to modern readers.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord—
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
He descended to the dead.
On the third day, He rose again.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the global Body of Christ,
the unity of all who follow Jesus,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
